Accounting software for the Netherlands, in English

You run a business in the Netherlands and you work in English. TelMaar puts the whole administration in your language: planning, work orders, invoices, VAT and bookkeeping. Your client still gets a correct Dutch invoice.

The paperwork is in a language you did not choose

A letter from the Belastingdienst, a VAT return with boxes you have to guess at, an invoice that has to carry a KVK number and a VAT number in the right place. None of it is hard once you know the words. The problem is the words.

Most entrepreneurs solve it by paying someone to translate their own business back to them. That works, and it costs you the overview: you no longer see what your company is doing between one quarterly return and the next.

Your language on the inside, Dutch on the outside

The software speaks English

Every screen, every button, every notification. Not a translated layer over a Dutch product, but the same product in nine languages.

Your documents stay Dutch

You choose per client which language an invoice or quote goes out in. A Dutch client gets Dutch, a German client gets German, and the figures are identical.

Professional terms stay put

Terms that have a legal meaning are locked, so a translation never quietly changes what you agreed. Your own product names stay exactly as you typed them.

What is included

  • Planning and jobs: who is going where, and what has to be finished today.
  • Work orders on site: filled in and signed on the doorstep, with photos.
  • Invoices and quotes: turn a quote into an invoice in one click, send and get paid online.
  • VAT: the return built from your own bookkeeping, including the small business scheme and reverse charge.
  • Bank and receipts: read in your statements, photograph a receipt, match them off.

One price, everything in it

Every plan has every feature. You pay for the size of your company, not for the parts you are allowed to use. Monthly cancellable, and the first weeks are free.

Questions people ask first

Does my invoice have to be in Dutch?

No. Dutch law does not require an invoice to be in Dutch, as long as it contains all the mandatory details. The Belastingdienst can ask you for a translation during an audit, so a Dutch or English invoice is the safe choice for Dutch clients. TelMaar lets you set the document language per client.

What is the KOR?

The kleineondernemersregeling is the Dutch small business scheme. If your turnover stays under 20.000 euro in a calendar year you can choose to be exempt from VAT: you charge no VAT and you cannot reclaim it either. You register for it with the Belastingdienst, and it applies for at least three years. TelMaar takes the scheme into account on your invoices and in your return.

When do I file a VAT return?

The Belastingdienst tells you whether you file monthly, quarterly or once a year. Most entrepreneurs file quarterly, within one month after the quarter ends. TelMaar builds the return from your own bookkeeping, so the figures come from the invoices and receipts you already entered.

Can my bookkeeper look along?

Yes. You give your bookkeeper or accountant their own access with their own role, so they see the bookkeeping without being able to change your invoices. You can withdraw that access yourself at any moment.
