Online payments

Let clients pay online, straight away

Every invoice includes a payment link via Stripe or Mollie, so your client can pay in a few taps without having to make a manual bank transfer.

In the client portal, your client sees all their invoices and quotes from your business neatly gathered in one place, with the status visible at a glance.

Payments are automatically recognised and matched to the right invoice, so your administration keeps itself up to date.

  • A payment link on every invoice (being built)

The Stripe and Mollie connection is in the software but not live yet. The integrations page shows the current state.

  • Your own client portal

Clients see all their invoices and quotes neatly gathered in one place.

  • Automatically matched

Incoming payments are matched to the right invoice.

Why an invoice with a payment link gets paid faster

An invoice without a payment link asks the customer to open their bank, retype the account number, enter the amount and add the invoice number as reference. Every step is a chance to postpone it until tomorrow. With a payment link it is one tap: iDEAL or card, amount and reference already filled in.

TelMaar puts the payment link on every invoice and in the email automatically. The payment arrives with the right reference, is matched to the invoice and the invoice is marked paid without you reconciling anything.

What happens with the payment and what it costs

If the customer pays through the link, you see it in TelMaar immediately and the customer gets a confirmation. The money is paid out to your own account according to the payment provider's schedule. Per invoice you see whether it was paid through the link, by transfer or in cash.

Per transaction the payment provider charges a small fee, which you see in TelMaar and book separately. For most companies that is easily outweighed by invoices paid a week earlier on average and the hour a week you no longer spend on reconciling.

Frequently asked questions about this feature

Can my clients pay online today?

The link with a payment provider is still in development; the integrations page shows the current state per connection. What does work today: your client sees their invoices in the client portal.

How do I know an invoice has been paid?

From your bank statement. TelMaar matches an incoming amount to the outstanding invoice and marks it paid.

Do I have to track what is outstanding myself?

No. The list of outstanding invoices keeps itself up to date, and the reminders go out on their own.
