Switching to TelMaar
Introducing a new system takes time. We help make that as light as possible, honest about what we do and don't take off your hands.
Switch by yourself in an afternoon
- You move your contacts (customers and suppliers) yourself with the built-in CSV import: pick a file, check the columns, done.
- Outstanding invoices and quotes you re-enter and simply keep numbering; that way you never run two systems side by side.
- Bank transactions load in via a CSV or MT940 file from your bank environment.
- The setup wizard in TelMaar guides you step by step, and every step can wait; you can invoice today.
What you need
The more complete the export from your current package, the less you have to retype.
An export from your current package
Almost every package can export contacts as CSV; TelMaar recognises the columns of Moneybird, e-Boekhouden and Excel by itself.
A spreadsheet always works
No export? A simple list with name, email and address is enough to get started.
Your bank files
Download CSV or MT940 from your bank environment, so the first period in TelMaar is right from day one.
TelMaar reads bank transactions from a CSV or MT940 file that you download yourself from your online banking. A direct bank connection (PSD2) isn't live yet; see the status on the integrations page.
What doesn't happen automatically
Fair is fair: some things remain manual work. Help is available, free during your trial, but never required: you can do everything yourself.
- Migrating historical financial years remains bespoke work; most switchers start with opening balances and keep the old package as an archive.
- Integrations with trade-specific software: see the integrations page for what exists and what is in development.
- Complex permission structures you set up yourself under Settings; if you get stuck, we help for free during your trial.
