The profile decides the terminology in the screens and the documents, which fields are on by default and which templates you get. You pick it during setup and can change it later without losing any data.

Can I switch profiles later?
Yes. The profile decides wording and default settings, not your data. Switching costs you nothing.
My trade is not listed, can I still start?
Yes. The generic profile is neutral and works for any company that plans, carries out and invoices.
Does the profile change my invoices?
Only the wording and the templates. The statutory fields and the VAT logic are the same in every profile.
